On the way see the rise of Big Media, the growth of Citizen Media to encounter it, and witness their showdown over the truth during the 1999 World Trade Organization meetings in Seattle. Pirate Radio USA was broadcast-- or really microcast-- with a 4 watt transmitter live, as an uninterrupted radio program. As thurbs said, it's tough to watch this film and not get angry. One of the biggest problems with our current political system is that the discourse is so skewed in favor of the big corporations that control our media, and this film provides a look at how they try to maintain that control. However, for a movie that could easily be an angry diatribe, they manage to keep a great sense of humor, which makes for a very entertaining film.
